“Dine out… Help out" from 10th November to 24th December 2008
For the six weeks in the lead-up to Christmas, StreetSmart partners with restaurants including Steakhouse at NewQuay to ask diners to make a small donation to StreetSmart on their bill. |
Every table is asked to add $2 or more to their bill, not even the price of a coffee or mineral water. It’s a simple idea that adds up to a big impact on the lives of people who are homeless.
So when you are planning a night out think about taking a simple action and book at a StreetSmart participating restaurant. While you are there encourage your fellow diners to dig deep and leave your donation on your bill. Be it meeting up with friends, family or an office or business function we need you to get involved.
100% of your donation goes to work:
StreetSmart operational expenses are funded through sponsorship partners allowing us to guarantee to the community that 100% of your donations are distributed directly to charity recipients.
RESULTS in 2007 diners at 185 restaurants raised $224,000 in Victoria, NSW/ACT and Queensland.

write with reference to your recent contribution to Beyond Sight
– Retinoblastoma Parent Support Group and would personally
like to thank you for your generous donation.
Our
Ls Vegas Nights Dinner Dance held in October was a huge success
thanks to the likes of organizations as yours. Through both Major
and Silent Auctions together with a fantastic raffle we were able
to raise around $10,000.
This
money has put a huge smile on the Specialists faces who are now
able to purchase some highly sort after equipment to better treat
and offer ongoing care to our precious children.
Retinoblastoma
is a life threatening cancer if not treated early and closely
monitored, with assistance in fundraising and a wider public awareness
of this disease I am sure we can make each day a little brighter
for the families affected.
Once
again on behalf of all families living with Retinoblastoma we
would like to offer our extreme thankyous for your generosity.
